Rigorous Recruitment

The Company conducts its Recruitment procedures rigorously as recommended by the Warner Report 1992 “Choosing with Care”. Thorough employment checks with references sought over a 10 year period. All references received are followed up with telephone calls. Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau checks are sought under POVA/POCA procedures. In situations of minor spent offences our policy is to write to the placing organisation to ascertain their views prior to any work assignments being offered.

INDUCTION

  • All successful applicants receive a thorough Induction and must attend mandatory training following successful completion of the “Skills for Care” training initiative.
  • The Induction book coupled with the individual Handbook provided, Job Description/Specification, Speak Out Policy, clarifies worker expectations.
  • The Company has a comprehensive range of practice guidelines, policies and procedures which staff must adhere to.
