Focus Care Services supports the “Every Child Matters” report, which calls for more support for children and families, and we firmly believe that prevention is better than cure.
Our early intervention family support and outreach services are designed to work with families who have been identified as high risk by offering support to divert children and young people from being looked after.
We work with children and young people, by engaging young people in activities and teaching valuable life skills which may lead to positive outcomes. We have staff especially trained to work with young people with challenging behaviour and a range of physical disabilities and learning difficulties.
Our support service is aimed at families who may be struggling to cope with the multitude of challenges facing parents in today’s society. In addition to the usual stresses, many families face additional problems including:
- Anti-social behaviour
- Substance abuse
- Domestic violence
- Poor housing conditions
- Health issues
- Housing related issues
